The fact is that renewable energy sources of all kinds are springing up like mushrooms in Poland. We as a society should be very pleased about this, because with the increasing use of photovoltaics and other such solutions, we can be aware of the fact that we are having less and less of a negative impact on the environment, which has unfortunately deteriorated considerably in recent years, already influencing climate change.
It is worth preventing the destruction of our planet by deciding to install photovoltaic panels at home - it seems that one installation will not change anything, but the situation is similar to that in the context of any government election: when there are more of these installations, our planet will be very grateful to us. Of course, the cost of installation can be a bit frightening - so it is definitely worth explaining how to apply for subsidies for photovoltaic panels and whether everyone has the opportunity to do so.
Photovoltaic panel installation costs - are they too high?
It cannot be denied that many people give up on the installation of photovoltaics as soon as they realise the costs to be incurred for this service and the purchase of the entire installation. Obviously, costs of several thousand PLN are not overly encouraging, but it is worth looking at the issue from a slightly different angle. First and foremost, it is an investment which will certainly pay off, and in a relatively short period of time - after a few years, we will be able to count not only on the return of the entire sum, but also on huge annual savings, which may even reach several hundred or several thousand zlotys.
The second point is even more encouraging to purchase - it is about subsidies and grants, which are increasingly widely available to apply for. What sums are we talking about? Well, it all depends on the specific programme, of course, but usually the amount of the subsidy can be as much as half of the cost of purchasing and installing photovoltaics, and sometimes even more. It is worth taking a look at some of the subsidy programmes here, among which every future photovoltaic owner is sure to find something for themselves.
Which programmessubsidies are worth considering?
There are quite a few of these and new ones are being created all the time - there is no doubt about that. It is worth taking a look at, for example, the My Current 3.0 programme, which includes grants for those wishing to invest in photovoltaic micro-installations. The amount that can be counted on in this case is up to PLN 3 000, and the programme ends in December this year. However, it is worth knowing that next year we can expect the My Current 4.0 programme, which will probably extend the possibility of subsidies to other types of renewable energy sources as well.
Another way to get at least part of the cost reimbursed is the thermo-modernisation allowance, which came into force at the beginning of 2019. Briefly, all owners of photovoltaics can deduct the cost of their photovoltaics from their taxes, which brings tangible financial benefits, although it is important to realise that the amount of the relief cannot be more than PLN 53,000. Still, the amount is impressive!
It is also worth noting the Clean Air Programme, which offers subsidies for various types of installations, as well as programmes available to farmers (Agroenergia) and companies of different sizes (Energia Plus). In addition, various regional programmes can be found in almost every region of Poland, the rules and amount of which are set by the municipality.
Few people realise that, in order to facilitate the purchase and installation of photovoltaic panels, it is also possible to turn to the bank and, more specifically, to a bank loan - nowadays, many photovoltaic banks make offers specifically tailored to the needs of future photovoltaic owners. In this case, however, you must of course reckon with interest, which can make repayment relatively lengthy.
