My Current 6.0 with a record budget. The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has added 600 million

According to information released by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, the application period for the My Current 6.0 programme has been extended until 29 August 2025 or until the allocated funds are exhausted. The programme's budget has been increased by PLN 600 million, reaching a record amount of PLN 1.85 billion, which is the highest amount in the programme's history, surpassing the previous record set by the second edition of the programme at almost PLN 1.12 billion.

By 3 March this year, 83,000 applications had been registered for a total of PLN 1.15 billion, of which 41,000 applications (approximately PLN 585 million) were for energy storage. In response to the growing interest, the Ministry of Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management decided to increase the programme's budget, the release highlighted.

The My Current programme is one of the key initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and energy costs for Poles. Therefore, it was decided to increase the budget by an additional PLN 600 million, while extending the call for applications until the end of August 2025. The extension of the programme to include energy and heat storage facilities will allow the efficiency of domestic PV installations to be increased, thus reducing energy costs for Polish families, Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska pointed out.

Additional funding for the My Current programme is to come from the EU FEnIKS programme. The press office of the National Environmental Protection and Water Management Authority (NFOŚiGW) had previously announced that talks were underway to extend the application deadline and increase the programme's budget, stressing that these changes would not affect the programme's eligibility criteria.
