Solaredge is currently the only company offering an integrated system: inverter + power optimisers - providing safety (lowering the voltage to a safe level of 1V in the event of an anomaly in the system), as well as full optimisation of the operation of individual modules and the ability to monitor the installation. In the Solaredge system, each module is equipped with a power optimiser, so that if an individual module performs less well than the others, the operation of the other modules is not adversely affected.

Benefits of the SOLAREDGE system

Advanced monitoring - the performance of individual modules can be tracked in Solaredge's monitoring app. The inverter is constantly connected to the internet, so that data is delivered to the app in real time and the customer can access information on system performance from anywhere in the world, at any time via an app on a phone or tablet or a web browser. Thanks to the detailed information, the possibilities for remote servicing of the installation are extended, as well as quick verification of any malfunctions in the panels.

Safety of the photovoltaic installation - an advanced feature of the Solaredge system - SafeDC - allows the high DC voltage to be disconnected in the event of an anomaly (such as an AC outage or excessive temperature). This provides protection for installers, firefighters and property in emergency situations.

Higher photovoltaic yields - Optimisation of individual panels minimises losses due to shading, dirt or poor performance of individual photovoltaic modules.

Higher installation power, ease of photovoltaic installation design - by using modules with the SolarEdge system, more modules can be placed on the roof, where this would not be possible without the Solaredge system. With the Solaredge system, modules can be combined on different roof slopes, in different directions, near chimneys or bay windows - maximising the performance of the installation.
