My electrician - new subsidy programme

In just a few weeks, the call for applications for the new funding programme is scheduled to begin the purchase of electric vehicles organised by  National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW).

The planned budget for the new programme is 500 million PLN, which is almost three times more than in previous years. For the time being, the way in which applications will be submitted and considered is not known. The programme is awaiting approval by the European Commission, which is to ascertain the compliance of the planned co-financing with EU state aid rules - then we will know all the details.

It is known that the programme provides for the possibility of subsidising not only purchase but also leasing new zero-emission vehicles (cars, mopeds and motorbikes) using only battery electricity or electricity generated from hydrogen by fuel cells for propulsion.

The programme is intended to cover a wide range of beneficiaries: individuals, public finance sector units, research institutes, entrepreneurs, associations, foundations, cooperatives, individual farmers, churches and other religious associations.

The programme is expected to run from 2021 to 2026.

Carport

Each new subsidy programme is linked to the development of the entire infrastructure of the electromobility and renewable energy sector. With the increase in the purchase of electric vehicles and dedicated chargers, there is growing interest in building a carport - a dedicated carport.

New opportunities

The carport is a great solution for those wishing to invest in photovoltaic panels, but who do not have the conditions for doing so. The carport can be fitted with photovoltaic modules and positioned according to the direction of light, so that energy production during the day is maximised. In addition, the investor gains a roof under which the charging station for the electric vehicle, the vehicle and the inverter can be located, so that all the necessary components for the production and consumption of electricity are protected from harmful weather conditions in one place.

The carport structure is most often made of metal (steel and aluminium) but can also be made of wood. Depending on the investor's vision, the location of the building and the installation conditions, the structure can be free-standing or adjacent to the house wall.
